Dr. Achim Kestler

Dr Achim Kestler is a certified Tax Adviser and holds a masters’ degree in law and business administration. After his studies, he earned a PhD with a thesis in tax law. He heads Grant Thornton’s M&A tax practice in Munich. Achim has more than 15 years of experience in providing tax advice on M&A transactions for both, strategic and financial investors. 
Prior to joining Grant Thornton in 2019, Achim worked for more than ten years in the M&A tax practice of a medium-sized international auditing firm and a Big 4 company.

• Tax assistance with business transactions (including tax due diligence, tax structuring, tax advice on SPA)
• Tax advice for (corporate) restructuring, reorganisation and carve out transactions
• Current tax consulting services on national and international company and group tax law memberships
