Christoph Becker

Christoph Becker is a member of the Audit & Assurance service line and heads the internal audit team within financial services. He has more than 16 years of professional experience providing internal audit services to financial services clients. 

Fields of expertise

• Management and control of partial outsourcing (co-sourcing) of the internal audit function for credit institutions, insurance companies, financial service providers, payment institutions and pension funds under the German Banking Act (KWG), the German Insurance Supervision Act (VAG) and the German Payments Supervision Act (ZAG)
• Management and control of complete outsourcing of the internal audit function for credit institutions, insurance companies, financial service providers, payment institutions and pension funds under KWG, VAG and ZAG as a “managed service”, including regular audit planning, execution, reporting, follow-up and quarterly and annual reporting
• Conducting reviews of the functionality of internal audit
• Management and control of remediation projects to manage and close supervisory findings at BaFin-regulated institutions
• Management and control of projects to implement and further develop process maps and internal control systems and regular control tests (including under SOX) at BaFin-regulated institutions
