Steffen Kunaht

Steffen Kunaht leads advisory in the area of secrecy and resilience at Grant Thornton and has more than 20 years of experience in public and private security organisations. He advises clients on all issues of business security and protection of information. Before joining Grant Thornton, he worked as the head and security commissioner at a group of companies in the high security field, as a forensic specialist at one of the Big Four, at two German intelligence agencies and in the federal armed forces.

His expertise extends from high security companies to regulated industry to government clients.

Fields of expertise

• Assistance with issues of state security (IT and non-IT) pursuant to the Classified Information Handbook (GHB) and Classified Information Guidelines (VSA)
• Advice on all aspects of company security and information security, incl. IT baseline protection
• Assistance with setting up and running crisis management organisations, incl. in critical infrastructure environments
• Conducting internal investigations into fraud
