Prof. Dr Thomas Senger

Prof. Dr Thomas Senger is a member of the Audit & Assurance management team. He also heads the subservice line accounting & reporting advisory. With more than 25 years’ experience, he focuses on group accounting under IFRS and German GAAP (HGB) and group audits for large owner-managed businesses and listed companies.

In accounting advisory, he focuses on IFRS conversions (but not only related to IPOs), assists with the introduction of new IFRS standards, recently including IFRS 15 and IFRS 16, with FREP proceedings and expert opinions on disputed recognition issues in arbitration.

He is a co-editor of the magazine IRZ Zeitschrift für Internationale Rechnungslegung [IRZ Magazine for International Financial Reporting], author of the section on consolidated financial reporting in the beck.online Großkommentar zum Bilanzrecht [Larger Commentary on Accounting Legislation] (previously Münchener Kommentar zu Bilanzrecht [Munich Commentary on Accounting Legislation]), and member of the IFRS working group at the IDW and the consolidation working group at the DRSC.
